Memorandum of Understanding between The European Union ~  Zambia Business Club (EUZBC) and the European Business Council for Africa and the Mediterranean (EBCAM)

The European Union – Zambia Business Club (EUZBC) wishes to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the European Business Council for Africa and the Mediterranean (EBCAM).

The EBCAM was founded in 1973 by seven European private sector associations, representing investors and operators in Africa as a non-profit organisation (AISBL) based in Brussels, Belgium. Today, EBCAM represents some 4,000 European companies with interests on the African continent, from the Maghreb to South Africa, and represents hundreds of thousands of employees. Their activities cover the complete range of commerce and industry, including agriculture, mining, transport, banking and the service sectors. They bring together European investors and other operators engaged in economic activity on the African continent and it works for a close cooperation between the European private sector and African countries, in particular the African private sector. It is the only organisation that comprehensively represents the range of business activities undertaken in Africa by European companies.
EBCAM embraces major European Associations from the private sector focused on development, business, trade and investment with African countries. This partnership is highly valuable.

The MoU will strengthen the cooperation between EBCAM and the EUZBC with the aim of collaborating to promote socio-economic development in Africa, focusing on the promotion of development, trade and investment on the continent.
